CALL FOR ENTRIES ANIM'EST 2013

 

Dear friends and friends of friends, Spread the word again! In October 2013, Bucharest will be the host of the 8th edition of Anim'est, the only animation film festival in Romania and the biggest film festival in the Romanian capital. Before inviting you to join us in October, we have the pleasure to invite your films. Submit your latest achievements (animation films produced after 1st January 2011) to one of the competition categories and make sure you don't miss the deadline: June 15th. You could be applauded by a most enthusiastic and welcoming audience, meet filmmakers from all over the world, watch a variety of old and new films, some of which can only be viewed on the big screen, take part in workshops, master-classes and round tables and, at the end of the ten days of the festival, you could be one of the winners. Each of the seven categories will be awarded a trophy, prize money and/or animation software. Moreover, starting with 2011, the winner of the Anim'est Trophy is shortlisted for the annual Cartoon d'Or Award. Since 2006, when the first edition took place, great names have visited Anim'est. We are always proud to mention Bill Plympton, Joan C. Gratz, Juan Pablo Zaramella, John Dilworth, Phil Mulloy, Shane Acker, people from Pixar or Laika studios, or our partner festivals and animation schools from all over the world.
