Vitrine para a produção cinematográfica dos países de língua portuguesa e espanhola, o Cinesul - Festival Ibero-Americano de Cinema e Vídeo – está com as inscrições abertas para a sua 20ª edição. Até dia 1º de março, produtores e realizadores podem inscrever seus longas, médias e curtas-metragens no evento que acontece no Rio de Janeiro, de 4 a 16 de junho. Participam da competitiva obras em qualquer suporte, tanto ficção quanto documentários, divididos nas seguintes categorias: longa-metragem (mais de 61 minutos) e curta e média-metragem (até 60 minutos). Os trabalhos devem ter sido finalizados entre 2011 e 2013 e não podem ter sido exibidos em salas comerciais brasileiras ou na televisão aberta. Um filme que já tenha sido inscrito e não tenha sido selecionado, pode participar novamente. E não há número limite de inscrições de um mesmo realizador. O Cinesul terá exibições no Centro Cultural do Banco do Brasil, Centro Cultural Correios, Cinemateca do MAM, entre outros.
As inscrições vão até o dia 1º de março e deverão ser feitas diretamente no site www.cinesul.com.br no formulário indicativo e as obras (a cópia do filme ou do vídeo proposto no formato DVD (região zero ou 4) enviadas pelo correio. A História do Cinesul
O Cinesul - Festival Ibero-Americano de Cinema e Vídeo foi criado, em 1994, no Rio de Janeiro como uma mostra de cinema e vídeo dos países do Mercosul, a partir de iniciativa do Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil, tendo ampliado seu alcance já em sua terceira edição. Ao longo desses anos, cresceu e se estabeleceu definitivamente como uma vitrine da produção cinematográfica latino-americana. Desde a edição de 2006 passou a aceitar nas mostras competitivas trabalhos da Península Ibérica e, desde o ano 2008, filmes em todos os suportes. O Cinesul é fruto do trabalho da Pulsar Artes e Produção, empresa fundada pela pesquisadora e jornalista Ângela José do Nascimento, e agora dirigida pelo produtor e pesquisador Leonardo Gavina.
